• LOFT Flight Training Center is Awarded FAR Part 142 Approval
  In May of 2010, LOFT achieved FAR Part 142 certification making the company the first and only Part 142 training center in San Diego. LOFT is currently offering FAR Part 142 CJ initial type rating courses for both the single-pilot and multi-pilot ratings, as well as an accelerated single pilot upgrade course for those seeking to add the single pilot rating to their existing CE-525 multi crew rating. Additional courses currently being offered include FAR Part 61.58 recurrent training, a second-in-command type rating course, a high altitude course, flight review, and instrument proficiency programs.

• CJ1 Simulator Awarded Level C Certification
  LOFT is proud to announce Level C certification of the CJ1 full flight simulator under FAA CFR Part 60. The CJ1 simulator features a simulated Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite as well as a high tech instructor station with touch screen controls and the ability to give the most advanced client feedback on the market. The addition of this new simulator will allow instructors at LOFT to provide the highest quality flight training with accelerated curriculums at competitive prices.

• Piper Seneca Level 6 FTD
  A PA-34-200 Level 6 FTD is now available for multi-engine training. The FTD features an actual aircraft cockpit, an enclosed instructor compartment, integrated GNS 430, electric control loading, graphic instrument display, articulated touch-screen instructor station, a realistic visual display, and digital sound and audio.
  

• A New Restaurant Opens at Palomar Airport
  The Landings Bar and Grill is now open at the commuter terminal on Palomar Airport. The restaurant is within walking distance of the LOFT classrooms and offices. The full-service restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

• Palomar Airport Association
