Flight Crew Systems is now LOFT
Flight Crew Systems is now LOFT, a new name to match our new expanded facility, state-of-the-art equipment and training procedures. The only things that haven't changed are our experienced staff and our commitment to the finest flight training available.
To respond to the ever changing aviation environment, LOFT is expanding our programs to include simulator-based training as well as in-aircraft jet training. The decision was prompted by the technologically advanced aircraft coming to market and our client's desire for multifaceted training. At LOFT, we acknowledge that there are many different training models to meet individual needs from the owner/operator who wishes to be trained in his or her own aircraft, to the professional pilot who is required by insurance to meet simulator-based training requirements. Given our experience and capabilities, we are confident that we can meet market demands and give quality jet training at competitive prices.
In September 2009, LOFT welcomed our new CJ1 Full Flight Simulator. The delivery marked the opening of the new LOFT Flight Simulation Center located approximately 1.5 miles from Palomar Airport. The CJ1 simulator was certified Level C under the new FAA CFR Part 60 in October 2009.
In May 2010, LOFT was awarded FAR Part 142 certification on initial and recurrent training courses in the Level C, CJ1 full flight simulator. Approval was also granted for training programs in the Level 6 Piper Seneca flight training device. The accreditation makes LOFT the first and only Part 142 training center in San Diego.
